On the way home from school with my Sammy Boy...
Sam: Ew. (holding his nose) Smell dat, mama?
Me: No, baby. I don't smell anything.
Sam: Dat stink, mama. (holding his nose)
Me: What are you talking about?
Sam: Carrion. Dat carrion, mama. Dat stink.
Carrion. As in "dead animal." He can't make the "TH" sound in "that," but he knows what carrion is.
Who are these children that live in my house?
