In Sunday school, Sam's class was talking about Jesus healing the lame man who was brought to him by his friends. They carried him to a crowded house where people were gathered around Jesus. They couldn't get to him, so they hoisted this lame man on a mat up to the roof - then dug a hole in the roof and lowered the lame man down to Jesus. (What a beautiful picture of friendship and persistence!)
Sunday School Teacher: Before we go any further...does anyone know what LAME means?
Sam looks around and raises his hand. Finally, puts his hand up.
SS Teacher: Yes. Sam.
Sam: Um...not that interesting?
That's my boy. He knows the real meaning of LAME.
