On St. Patrick's Day, when I was a kid, my dad would make me wear a HUGE button to school with green, white & red on it that read "Proud to be Italian." He told me that I didn't have to celebrate because "we are Italian." (And just to clarify...my dad and I were the 2 Italians in our house growing up. JB was Irish, and Mom was "just American.") But he got me the button so I wouldn't get pinched by all those Irishmen.

Still have the button. Trying to talk Jason into letting one of our Irish-named children wear it on St. Patty's day. HA HA
