We spent the week after Christmas at our NEW HOME in Blowing Rock. It was the first time we got to stay in the house, and it was so special for all of us. It was also really COLD...and - let me tell you - they don't call it BLOWING Rock for nothing. Jason and my brother almost got blown off the mountain when they trekked up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The girls got into the "walk softly and carry a big stick" theme of the adventure.
We climbed to the top of a big rock that we're calling "Talking Rock"...because you have to stand on top of it if you want cell service at the house! ha ha
